Launched on Monday, July 19 in Lomé, the Togolese Facility for Acceleration and Innovation (FTAI) is intended for young Togolese entrepreneurs. This fund is endowed with 265 million FCFA per year.

The Support Fund for Youth Economic Initiatives (FAIEJ) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP-Togo) have launched a support fund for innovative and ambitious businesses. Thus, start-ups and incubators will be able to benefit from financial support through this fund, the aim of which is to contribute more to the creation of businesses and jobs for young people. “It's a facility that acts as a fund to accelerate businesses, especially SMEs with a minimum of 3 years of existence. It also emphasizes the innovation that propels business activity. The aim is to facilitate the financing of innovation which is risky”, indicated Komi Aokou, head of the exploration laboratory of the UNDP SDG acceleration. According to the UNDP, this initiative is the flagship component of the "Project to support the promotion of entrepreneurship and the private sector for the creation of sustainable jobs" and also the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). ) in its points 2 and 3.
