It is around this theme that risk managers, insurers, bankers, auditors and other business executives gathered on the occasion of the 3rd solemn return of the Ivorian Network of Risk Management and Insurance in Business, RIMRAE, July 9, 2021.

According to Marc Wabi, the main speaker, the risk manager must ensure that the strategy defined is in accordance with the risks inherent in the company and with the legislation in force. It warns, where appropriate, of the importance of the correct implementation of a policy and their system of social and environmental responsibility. It must also strengthen the risk identification and management system, set up monitoring tools to achieve business continuity and remain on standby.

“The world of tomorrow is in constant evolution, totally different from the one we have known. And it will change from minute to minute. All our certainties will fly away. The best risk manager is the one who will not precisely have certainties but who will have the ability to adapt to changes in the environment of the company and the organization in which he is supposed to ensure the resilience", explains the CEO of Deloitte.

For this certified public accountant, emerging risks are linked to changes in society, human activity and new situations facing the world. These are the risks of cybercrime, the environmental risks caused by torrential rains, floods and earthquakes, the regulatory risks on the way of doing business and the men who work there, the societal risks through social inequalities, risks related to terrorist attacks and pandemic and health risks.

This 3rd solemn return of the Ivorian Network of Risk Management and Insurance in Business aims to make RIMRAE and its missions known to the general public and organizations. And marks the start of its activities for the 2021 financial year.
