Société Générale announces several appointments for more efficient management of the institution. Thus, from July 5, 2021, the new managers will take office.

Bertrand Cozzarolo has been appointed Sales and Marketing Director, replacing Philippe Amestoy, reporting to Marie-Christine Ducholet, Director of Societe Generale Retail Banking in France. Philippe Amestoy and Georges Wega have been appointed deputy directors of the international banking networks, Africa, Mediterranean basin and overseas regions (AFMO), alongside Laurent Goutard, director of the AFMO Business Unit. As part of their new functions, Bertrand Cozzarolo and Georges Wega join the Group's Management Committee, of which Philippe Amestoy is already a member. Mareme Mbaye Ndiaye is appointed director of the Central and East Africa region. As such, she joined the executive committee of the AFMO Business Unit.

According to Philippe Aymerich, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Group, in charge of supervising Retail Banking activities in France and abroad, "backed by their solid experience in retail banking and their expertise, Bertrand Cozzarolo, Philippe Amestoy, Georges Wega and Mareme Mbaye Ndiaye are particularly qualified to support the development and transformation of retail banking networks in France and Africa, and to promote synergies within the Group”.
