As part of the cycle of conferences on energy, launched by ArmorSicence, Francis Nativel, energy engineer and retired chemist speaks about energy as a societal issue. On break because of the confinements, the conferences resume this Friday, to present the issues around the bioeconomy.

Energy is a societal issue and can potentially interest everyone. This series of conferences seeks to provide neutral information to enlighten the public on the subject. The first one was led by Jérôme Sabathier, head of the Economics and Environmental Assessment Department at IFP Énergies Nouvelles, on the theme of "Energy and Transport". The next one will be on the "bioeconomy" with Nicolas Béfort from the Neoma Business School in Reims.

According to Francis Nativel, the bioeconomy uses renewable raw materials, such as plant materials, in industry. It is also a non-food valorization of plants. The issues will be discussed by the researcher during the conference.
