The managing director of the bank Societe Generale Guinea is being sued by Maïmouna Soumah, a Guinean woman living in England, for “misappropriating a seized property”. The plaintiff is claiming nearly 600 million Guinean francs from the head of the private financial institution, Guineematin.com noted through one of its journalists. The trial of the managing director of the bank Société Générale Guinea opened this Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at the Kaloum Court of First Instance. The summons would have been served, but the managing director of Société Générale Guinea SA did not respond. This did not prevent the court from hearing Ms. Maïmouna and her lawyer, who gave their version of the events
According to Me Mohamed Sampil, his client filed a complaint, following the “refusal” of the DG of the SGG to execute a court decision rendered in her favor in the context of a civil dispute between her and a gendarmerie officer. The prosecutor asked the court to order the CEO of the Société Générale Guinea bank to pay a fine of 25 million Guinean francs. The case was referred to June 22, 2021 to make a decision.
