The fifth Country Risk Conference was organized by the Pan-African Financial Rating Agency Bloomfield Investment Corporation. It aims to map investment risks in Côte d'Ivoire. Several members of the government, members of the diplomatic corps and eminent personalities took part in the 2021 edition of the Country Risk Conferences. Stanislas Zézé, CEO of Bloomfield Investment Corporation announced that Côte d'Ivoire received a score of 5.6/10. Compared to the previous report, the country has lost one point but still with a stable outlook.
“Côte d'Ivoire remains in the Moderate Risk category, meaning that there are no obstacles to investment. Côte d'Ivoire and Benin are the two countries in French-speaking Africa that have had positive growth, in the current context of the COVID 19 pandemic. This means that the fundamentals of Côte d'Ivoire are solid” said Stanislas Zézé.
The various panels discussed the avenues and models to be put in place to support economic recovery in this context of health crisis. Thus, the business climate, macroeconomic performance, public finance management, the soundness of the financial system and socio-political risk have been scrutinized. The country risk mapping presented in this latest report aims to present, in detail, the strengths and weaknesses of Côte d'Ivoire and to assign a score for each of the parameters analyzed.
