Nestlé Côte d'Ivoire will distribute dividends to its shareholders at a rate of FCFA 363,665 (€0.55) net per share. This is a first for the Swiss group's subsidiary in a decade.At the ordinary general meeting last Friday, Nestlé Côte d'Ivoire officials decided to distribute dividends to the company's shareholders due to the strong performance recorded at the end of the 2020 financial year. “The activities in 2020 took place in a relatively difficult social and economic environment, marked by an unprecedented health crisis linked to the Covid-19 pandemic”, specifies the press release published in this context
The various product categories, represented by the brands MAGGI®, NESCAFE®, NIDO®, MILO®, CERELAC® and other infant products, have experienced very good growth thanks to a strategy focused on consumers and innovation. The company's net profit jumped by 893%, to FCFA 4.02 billion (€6.1 million) against FCFA 405.5 million (€618,000) at the beginning of 2020. Its turnover increased by 16% to 48 billion FCFA (€73.1
million).Over the whole of 2020, Nestlé Côte d'Ivoire achieved a net profit of FCFA 20.89 billion (€31.8 million), giving rise to gross dividends of FCFA 8.9 billion (€13.5 million). The company said it wanted to continue its green crusade through various initiatives in favor of environmental protection, the fight against deforestation, the management of plastic waste and the promotion of a green economy
