Like all the subsidiaries of the Saham group, the insurance company Saham Senegal now becomes Sanlam. This rebranding is the logical continuation of the acquisition by Sanlam Group of the entire capital of Saham Finances, finalized in October 2018. Present in 33 countries in Africa, Sanlam is worth 16 billion dollars on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE ). The group offers a range of solutions through its 5 business areas: Sanlam Personal Finance, Sanlam Pan Africa, Sanlam Investments, Sanlam Corporate and Santam. More than a century old, the group, founded in 1918 as an insurance company, now sees its flag flying from Cape Town to Casablanca and from the Limpopo River to the smiling banks of the Niger via the Ebrié lagoon. Presenting the challenges of this change and the strike force of the Sanlam group, the director of the company, Majidi Yassine, reassured that Sanlam remains the leading insurer on the African continent, at the service of development.
