The African Center of Excellence in Mathematical Sciences, Informatics and Applications (CEA-Smia) held an information and promotion meeting with its partners on Friday, May 14, in Cotonou. The center intends to provide experienced human resources to businesses in Benin and Africa.

To present its new training offers, CEA-Smia has placed particular emphasis on the Master in Data Science and on the digital revolution that the supercomputer embodies (Compute Benin). It was in the presence of representatives of local businesses, the Industrial Advisory Council, the Club of Information Systems Decision-makers and some Alumni from the Institute of Mathematics and Physical Sciences..., that the African Center of Excellence in Mathematical Sciences, Informatics and Applications (CEA-Smia) shared the new training offers and the new skills

Presenting the Master's degree in Data Science and the supercomputer, Jules Dégila, a research professor at the University of Abomey-Calavi, explains that Data Science has many advantages in terms of the digital revolution and the strong dynamic around digitalization. New technologies are in fact imposing themselves on businesses and requiring them to adapt and integrate into an environment where data is valuable.
