Initiated and managed by the NGO Avenir De l'Environnement (ADE), the Project to support small-scale coffee and cocoa farmers in the sustainable management of agricultural land by promoting green entrepreneurship in three municipalities (Agou, Amou and Kloto) in the Plateaux region was launched on Friday in Amou-Oblo in the municipality of Amou 2. This project receives financial and technical support from the Morija Association of Switzerland

.

The project to support small-scale coffee and cocoa farmers in the sustainable management of agricultural land will be implemented in the municipalities of Agou 1, Kloto 1 for cocoa production and in the municipality of Amou 2 for coffee production.
Scheduled for a period of four years (2020-2024), this project concerns cocoa agroforestry cooperatives in the Fiokpo zone in Kloto, young coffee and cocoa producers from New Generation, coffee cooperatives from Amou-Sud/Fuprocat, beekeepers in the coffee and cocoa zone, and women processors of coffee and cocoa.
Its purpose is to maintain small-scale producers in their home environments by giving them the opportunity to carry out agricultural and economic activities with high added value in a sustainable manner in an adequate and ecologically viable living environment in order to sustainably improve their living conditions.
This project intends to support young coffee and cocoa farmers in restoring agricultural soil through agroforestry, promoting good institutional, organizational and functional governance within their cooperative society, developing beekeeping and valuing cocoa shells in soap and

organic compost.
