The standardized Invoice will be effective, starting on July 1, for persons subject to Synthetic Business Tax (GST).

The extension of the obligation to issue standardized invoices by any natural or legal person subject to the GST regime is planned for July 1, 2021. In a circular note dated April 23, the Director General of Taxation (Dgi), Nicolas Yenoussi, indicated that the moratorium granted to persons subject to

GST is suspended.

“The moratorium referred to above is hereby brought to an end. I therefore inform you that this obligation now extends to all natural or legal persons subject to the TPS regime, regardless of their sectors of activity, as of 1 July 2021,” announces the Dgi in its circular

He adds that there are two options available to the persons concerned by his note, with regard to the issuance of standardized invoices. The first is the purchase of the physical machine (Mecef) and the second is the use of the e-Mecef platform
