The World of Organic Agriculture, Statistics & Emerging Trends 2021, carried out by FiBL and IFOAM organics international, published in February 2021, reveals that global organic agriculture is growing slowly again in 2019 with a 1.6% increase in global areas.

Global organic agriculture is growing and registering an additional 1.1 million hectares (ha) to 72.3 million ha (including land under conversion). The biggest proponents of organic farming are Oceania, Australia, Europe and Latin America.
In terms of the world's agricultural area, the result is still modest (1.5%). The countries that made the most progress in 2019 were India, the United States and France, shoulder to shoulder with Bolivia.

Sales would be roughly at the same level as in 2018 at €106 billion, almost the same amount as the global chocolate market.
