Societe Generale CI's financial performance in 2020 is worrying. The Bank could end at least 4 years of double-digit growth in its net banking product (GNP), the equivalent of revenue from sales of services in the banking sector

The presentation of the 2020 results published by its parent company based in France reveals that the largest institution in Côte d'Ivoire in terms of customer credit achieved a GNP of 240 million euros, or 157.43 billion FCFA.
The GNP grew by 4.7% compared to that of 2019, which was 150.3 billion FCFA. This figure is difficult to confirm locally at the moment, as Societe Generale Côte d'Ivoire, like many companies on the Abidjan Regional Securities Exchange (BRVM), does not publish its annual results at the earliest.
According to figures published by the company, GNP is up 11% compared to 2019. Investors who target this value on the BRVM will be attentive to the final net result and especially to the announcement of dividends. Recall that in the first half of 2020, its net profit grew by only 1%.
