Côte d'Ivoire will be equipped in 2021 with a telecommunications supervision system, a key sector for the country. It encompasses both voice and data exchanges and mobile money transactions. This translates into the establishment and operation of a system for monitoring electronic communication flows and combating telecommunications fraud .

By providing access to precise traffic data, reliable and independent telecommunications supervision will allow the State to know in real time the revenues generated by the operators, and thus correctly recover the tax owed to it. This will also allow it to thwart the practices of SIM boxing, which makes it possible to pass international calls for national calls.
