Finance officers and an operator sign for a construction site of 3,000 houses

40,000 housing units including 24,000 social housing units and 16,000 luxury units to house approximately 250,000 people on 2,427 ha. This is in figures, the project which will be born on three sites including Angré Extension, Bingerville and Adoukro 25 km from Abidjan on the road to Jacqueville. It was presented last Friday, at the rotunda of the Ministry of Finance, to civil servants from the Ministry of Economy and Finance requesting 3,000 housing units through the Mutual Fund for agents of the financial affairs and heritage department (Mutadaf) that directs Blondé Abel.

The ceremony was enhanced by the signing of an agreement between the parties. On the one hand Opes Holding, the company of Siriki Sangaré and its partner the Austrian company GHS specialized in innovative building solutions. On the other hand between Opes Holding and the future buyers of Mutadaf represented by their president Blondé Abel.

On behalf of Minister Adama Koné, Director of Financial Affairs and Heritage, Sidibé Siaka gave the guardianship of the project, saying he was convinced by the quality and credibility of the real estate operator Opes Holding. He invited, beyond the agents of the management of which he has control, all the agents and the mutual insurance companies of this ministerial department to subscribe massively to this real estate operation. “The minister's personal involvement is likely to reassure all those who might still hesitate,” he urged. For him, the housing deficit in Côte d'Ivoire can be reduced by sectoral initiatives such as this one.

In Côte d'Ivoire, the deficit, according to CEO Siriki Sangaré, is between 400,000 and 500,000 housing units. This is why he welcomed the advent of this project which will make it possible to meet a demand for 3,000 housing units (in installments of 500 in revolving), for the benefit of Mutadaf. A project which, according to him, is part of a vast project of 40,000 housing units for hire-purchase and direct sale on the above-mentioned sites. The first houses could be delivered in April 2020 according to developers. With regard to hire-purchase, it was said that the subscriber will pay two months' deposit and one month in advance as provided for by law and the rest spread over 15 years.

The "New Town" site of Adoukro as it was presented will include, in addition to housing, a university, an international hospital, a 30-hectare water park with a 4-star hotel. Ten years will be needed for its total completion.
