On Saturday, October 03, 2020, the Banque Populaire de Côte d'Ivoire officially opened a branch in Mankono in the presence of the President of the Béré Regional Council, Moussa Dosso.

During the inauguration ceremony of the said agency, Mr. Dosso opened his bank account to, he said, encourage people to do the same in order to boost the development of the region.

“I want to encourage you to go to the bank because it is a development tool (...)”, he recommended.

This banking agency intends to offer its services to the people of Mankono to open accounts, but also to grant loans, said its managing director, Issa Tanou Fadiga.

Its opening to Mankono is justified by the fact that the municipality has been identified as an area “with a high economic density that accumulates good figures in the production of cotton, cashew nuts and even coffee and cocoa”.

On September 19, 2020, a microfinance company HES opened an agency in Kounahiri.
