“ With the installation of this platform, the government is thus acquiring a tool to mobilize resources, to ensure the alignment of these resources with national priorities and to promote effective management practices to turn indicators green. health and meet the expectations of the population in terms of health ," says Albert Flindé, Focal Point of the Global Financing Facility.

The Minister of Health and Hygiene, Dr Aka Aouélé, for his part, welcomed " this platform which aims at the sole application of the resolutions taken to guarantee the effective mobilization of the internal resources necessary for the resilience of our health system. for the generalization of universal health coverage ”.

“ Since 2012, the government's ambition in the area of health has been to build an efficient, integrated, responsible and efficient health system guaranteeing an optimal state of health for all populations living in Côte d'Ivoire in general and in particular to the most vulnerable people, ” recalled Adama Koné, Minister of Economy and Finance, representing Prime Minister Amadou Gon Coulibaly.

The National Health Coordination Platform is a multi-party body, between the State of Côte d'Ivoire, the Technical and Financial Partners, the Private Sector and Civil Society. It was born from the major conclusions of the first National Dialogue on Health Financing in Côte d'Ivoire, organized from April 15 to 18, 2019 in Abidjan.

This platform's mission is to establish consensus on national health spending objectives, to promote the harmonization and alignment of internal and external financing around these objectives. And to monitor their achievement for the implementation of sectoral health strategies as defined in the National Development Plan (PND), the National Health Development Plan (PNDS) and the 2020-2024 Investment File .
