École Normale Supérieure d'Abidjan (ENS) and the Caisse Nationale des Caisses d'Epargne (CNCE) preceded the signing of an agreement this Thursday, July 18, 2019 in Abidjan. This agreement concerns the renewal of the process of bankarization of the student grant.
This policy sounds the death knell of an old perilous practice, the payment of scholarships “hand in hand”. According to Professor Sidibé Valy, Director of the ENS: " the banking of scholarships aims to avoid extortion of students by crooked paying agents ".
For the satisfaction of its applicants, each year the institution opens its doors to banks. The CNCE, endowed with a share capital of 40 billion FCFA provides innovative solutions to certain problems of the Ivorian school. The banking institution deploys significant support to ENS students thanks to the pre-financing of the payment of their scholarships. Support translated by Issa Fadiga, Director of the CNCE: “ the CNCE is close to you to serve you”.
Several other structures such as the Animation and Pedagogical Training Centers (CAFOP) already benefit from this CNCE service.
