The Ivorian-British Forum on investment opportunities in the real estate sector in Côte d'Ivoire has launched the 1st edition of the Ivorian Housing Fair (Silog 2019).

It will be held on November 28, 29 and 30, 2019 in London (United Kingdom). It is around the theme: "Meeting the challenges of housing for the diaspora in Africa", indicated the president of the National Chamber of Promoters and Approved Builders of Côte d'Ivoire (Cnpcaci), Mr. Siriki Sangaré. It was during a press conference held on Friday June 14, at the Palm Club hotel in Cocody.

On this occasion, Sangaré Siriki justified the context. "Côte d'Ivoire has experienced since the end of the rental-purchase system with the companies Sicogi and Sogefiha a huge deficit of around 600,000 housing units and a need for more than 50,000 housing units per year according to a study by the World Bank. “said Mr. Siriki. And to specify that this need is more felt, especially in urban areas, despite the efforts of the Ivorian government, which has made it a priority to the point of launching the Presidential Housing Program (Ppl) in favor of the most disadvantaged social strata and then d offer facilities to real estate developers in order to encourage them to build social and economic housing, the objective of which is to allow each citizen to have a roof.

According to him, despite all these efforts, it is clear that what is commonly called the housing crisis persists, even worsens.

According to him, the objective of the fair is to reach the greatest number of people from the Ivorian diaspora and other foreign communities on site in London in the United Kingdom.

To this end, there will be exchanges in order to propose adequate solutions to the problems that undermine the real estate sector, in particular land and social and economic housing in Côte d'Ivoire.

B to B meetings, high-level debates, exhibitions, conferences and sharing of experiences with professionals, political and financial decision-makers will furnish the show.
