Dakar — A Senegalese delegation is staying in the United States to see the progress of the supply of biometric tablets and authentication kits for beneficiaries of Universal Health Coverage (CMU), APS has learned.

The delegation is made up of the Ministry of Health and Social Action and the National Agency for Universal Health Coverage (ANCMU), it is indicated in a press release which underlines that the said kits are designed in Silicon Valley by the company CRedence ID.

The tablets and biometric kits being designed in Silicon Valey will be deployed in all hospitals, health centers and health posts in Senegal, thanks to the support of the World Bank, to facilitate the authentication of beneficiaries at the level service points, assures the CMU Agency.

The SIBIO (biometric identification device for beneficiaries) will complete the SIGICMU (Integrated Management Information System for Universal Health Coverage) system currently under development, according to the same source.

She points out that in addition to the modules already developed internally, others are being developed such as the "SAMACMU" mobile application or the electronic contribution and donation platform "SunuCMU" to "accelerate the process of extension of the CMU and to make the program viable, sustainable and sustainable".

In April, Senegal's Universal Health Coverage Agency officially launched the electronic payment platform called "sunucmu".
