Companies based in the Congo have transferred abroad profits of up to CFAF 860 billion generated by their activities. This is the result of the 2022 report by the British NGO Tax Justice Network (TAJ), a network of specialists in tax evasion, tax competition and tax havens.

Companies based in the Republic of Congo have transferred CFAF 860 billion of their profits abroad to the detriment of the country's tax system. Indeed, some companies manage to reduce their tax bill by transferring profits to subsidiaries located in countries where the tax system is more favorable, or tax havens. In the Congo in 2021, these operations cost the Congolese government more than 280 billion CFA francs in tax losses.
