Ukraine: Mariupol fighters make desperate appeal, Kiev receives fighter jets
Ukraine has received fighter jets to help counter the Russian offensive in the east of the country, where the last Ukrainian fighters entrenched in Mariupol have made a desperate appeal to the international community to be rescued. "We may be living in our last days, if not our last hours," said a commander of Ukrainian military besieged in Mariupol, a strategic port in southeastern Ukraine that Moscow has vowed to take control of.
