In addition to the construction of the Nachtigal hydroelectric dam which is expected to be operational in 2023 for an installed capacity of 420 MW, the government has indicated that in the medium term, projects that are maturing will be implemented. These include, among others, the Limbé gas thermal power plant (350 MW), the Grand Eweng (1000 MW), Chollet (600 MW), Kikot (500 MW), Katsina Ala (285 MW), Menchum (72 MW), etc. hydroelectric dams.
