Indeed, Equiano is an undersea internet cable linking Portugal to South Africa, of which Togo becomes the first landing point in Africa. In Togo, the Equiano Project is divided into two phases: a first one which concerns the construction of the submarine cable and a second one which concerns the management and the resale of the international capacity to Internet access providers, both at the Togo and neighboring countries.
