The Russian ruble stabilized near 105 to the dollar in Moscow on Monday, as OFZ Treasury bonds resumed trading in volatility as Russia seeks to gradually resume operations in its financial markets. At around 10:18 GMT, the ruble gained 0.3% to 104.48 against the dollar and was down 0.4% to trade at 115.15 against the euro.

The euro remained stable against the dollar on Monday in a hesitant foreign exchange market, while fighting continues in Ukraine where negotiations are stalling. Around 10:25 a.m. GMT (11:25 a.m. CET), the euro stagnated at 1.1051 dollars to the euro.

The Egyptian currency traded Monday at 17.8 pounds to the dollar, a loss of 13% of its value in one day, while inflation in the country, the first importer of Russian and Ukrainian wheat, has already reached a record in February.
