The Congolese state (DRC) and Dan Gertler's Ventura group have reached a historic protocol. Through this agreement concluded on February 24, the DRC recovers oil blocks and mining assets valued at more than two billion dollars.

A new page is thus opening between the DRC and the group of Israeli businessman Dan Gertler who said he was relieved by the voice of his counsel. Negotiations overseen by President Felix Thisekedi resulted in the recovery of part of KCC's royalties. In exchange for this restitution, the businessman could escape legal proceedings from the DRC and the United States. As a reminder, this decision follows the resolution taken by the Council of Ministers on February 18, 2022. In the process, the Congolese Head of State Félix Tshisekedi had instructed his Minister of Justice to conclude an amicable agreement with the Ventura group.
