The protocol of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) on the fight against corruption received the favorable opinion of all the members of the Committee on External Relations present and of Ivorians living outside the Ivory Coast.

The project presented by the Minister Delegate to the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and the Diaspora, in charge of African integration, Alcide Djédjé, comprises 27 articles. It calls for the harmonization on the part of the 15 States, their national laws on the fight against corruption, to allow the adoption of effective preventive measures against corruption and proportional and dissuasive sanctions. The government commissioner reassured parliamentarians of the executive's determination to bring this fight to a successful conclusion and arranged to meet in the coming years to take stock of it.
