UMOA-Titres officials announced that the State of Burkina Faso raised this Wednesday, February 2, 2022, on the regional financial market, a sum of 27.855 billion FCFA. It was at the end of its issue of assimilable treasury bonds (OAT) with a duration of 3 years.

According to the UMOA-Titres agency, there were bids totaling 58.855 billion FCFA out of an auction amount of 30 billion FCFA, representing a coverage rate of 196.19%. After the auction, the Burkinabé Public Treasury withheld 27.855 billion FCFA and rejected the remaining 31 billion FCFA. This gives an absorption rate of 47.33%. The OATs will be redeemed on the first business day following the maturity date set at February 3, 2025. On the other hand, as regards the payment of interest, it will be made annually on the basis of the fixed interest rate of 5.55%. and this, from the end of the first year.
