The bond market resumed its decline at the beginning of February. While observers expected it to consolidate the rise of nearly 28 billion recorded on January 31, 2022, the market capitalization of the bond market of the Regional Stock Exchange (BRVM) rather took the opposite direction to the end of the trading session of this Tuesday, February 1, 2022.

From 7278.410 billion FCFA on January 31, 2022, the stock market capitalization of the bond market fell to 7271.208 billion FCFA on February 1, 2022, a decrease of 7.202 billion. That of the equity market, on the other hand, recorded an increase of 8.07 billion FCFA to 6156.267 billion FCFA against 6148.197 billion FCFA the day before. At the level of the total value of transactions, we exceeded 2 billion, with a realization amounting to 2.432 billion FCFA against 1.326 billion FCFA on January 31, 2022. As for the indices, various fortunes are noted. The BRVM 10 index thus recorded a slight drop of 0.08% to 155.47 points against 155.60 points the day before. On the other hand, the composite index recorded an increase of 0.13% to 204.51 points against 204.24 points previously.

The Top 5 of the strongest price increases are respectively occupied by the shares ETI Togo, Bernabé Côte d'Ivoire, BOA Burkina Faso, Vivo Energy Côte d'Ivoire and Sicable Côte d'Ivoire. Flop 5 of the biggest price drops is respectively occupied by Total Senegal, Compagnie Ivoirienne d'Electricité, CFAO Côte d'Ivoire, Servair Abidjan and NEI CEDA Côte d'Ivoire.
