Musa Drammeh, the Minister of Land Resources, Local Government and Religious Affairs presided over the swearing-in ceremony of three commissioners who will investigate allegations of corruption and embezzlement at Kanifing Municipal Council.

Based on the conclusions of the investigators and the serious allegations of corruption and embezzlement estimated at several million dalasis by the Mayor and Chief Executive Officer of the Municipal Council of Kanifing, Musa Drammeh therefore considers it prudent to set up a Commission of Investigation in order to conduct a thorough and comprehensive investigation into these allegations. The members of the Commission are Mr Momodou YM Sallah, Mr Mamsait Jallow and Mr Omar Cham, who will serve as Chairman. Mr Momodou D. Mballow has been appointed as the commission's principal legal adviser. The team will be supported by a secretary appointed by the Ministry of Land Resources while the Ministry of Justice will provide logistical support to the Commission.
