From January 12 to 14, 2022, Gabon will attempt to raise the total sum of 22.510 billion CFA francs on the money market of the Bank of Central African States (BEAC). This fundraising will be done through operations of the treasury securities market of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (Cemac).

In accordance with the weekly dashboard of operations of the CEMAC treasury securities market, for the week of January 10 to 14, 2022, the Gabonese government will issue two assimilable treasury bonds (BTA) each with a duration of 13 weeks, over the period concerned. The first operation, which took place on January 12, raised the sum of 15 billion FCFA (26 million dollars) intended to support the economic development program (PDE), in accordance with the 2022 finance law. The second operation will be held on January 14 for the sum of 7.510 billion CFA francs. This money will allow the Gabonese State to reimburse the BTAs, on the same market.
