The Minister of the Digital Economy Aurélie Adam Soulé Zoumarou was at the National Assembly on Thursday November 18 to defend her budget for the 2022 financial year before the parliamentary budget committee.

The share of the Ministry of the Digital Economy in the finance law for the 2022 financial year is 24,252,534,000 CFA francs. This translates to an increase of 150% compared to that of this year. Through this budget, the Ministry of the Digital Economy plans to implement several structuring projects in the digital sector and digitization. This concerns the implementation of a program intended to modernize the audiovisual landscape and the press, the strengthening of the financial autonomy of the media, the strengthening of citizens' access to the media and to quality information, the modernization of the production infrastructures of the public service media to enable them to conquer a larger and more diversified audience, among other things.
