In order to strengthen regional integration, the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC) has in perspective the tax harmonization of the common market. The realization of the common market through the free movement of persons and goods remains a concern of the States of the zone.

Compliance with the Community Treaties is one of the challenges of the 13th ordinary session of the Permanent Commission for Tax and Accounting Harmonization (CPHFC) from November 2 to 4, 2021 in Douala. With the aim of strengthening regional integration, the main topics of discussion relate to the draft text establishing the Community Tax on Telephone Calls (TCAT) as well as the reform on the issuance of approvals. The work takes into account the implementation of assistance programs in tax policy and administration with partners as part of the implementation of the Economic and Financial Reform Program (PREF-CEMAC), the search for funding for the completion integration projects and the Regional Economic Program (PER), the aim being to ensure the well-being of the populations and to achieve effective integration in Central Africa.
