Faced with the decline in cash withdrawals, the three banks are launching an unprecedented study project on the pooling of their ATM networks. The three networks, which operate nearly a third of the park in France (15,000 machines out of a total of 48,000), announced on Tuesday "to study a project to pool their ATMs to guarantee, together and sustainably, the best access to self-service banking and strengthen the service offer for their customers". They seek to optimize the management of their fleet. The project concerns almost a third of the distributors in service in France. Thanks to this project, customers of the three banks will be able to withdraw money, deposit checks and cash, or even print bank details on shared ATMs. The customer area, on the machines, should nevertheless remain specific to each bank.
