Deutsche bank lends 3 billion FCFA for phase 1 of the drinking water supply project for Buea, Tiko and Mutenguene localities in Cameroon. The signing of the credit agreement took place between the Minister of Economy, Alamine Ousmane Mey and the Managing Director of Export Finance-Deutsche Bank, Humaya Harati.

The Drinking Water Supply Project for Buea, Tiko and Mutenguene localities aims to improve the living environment, state of health and socio-economic conditions of the populations, through the design of a water supply program realistic, sustainable and adapted to their incomes and their environment. This program is financed with the assistance of international donors and the State. It revolves around rehabilitation, renewal, strengthening and extension of the production and distribution capacity of all existing centers, as well as the construction of new drinking water installations in many cities that are lacking. Over a period of 30 months, including 6 months for the study phase, the maximum amount of the budget for the realization of the said project is estimated at 54 billion FCFA.
