Three months after NIMASA launched its Deep Blue project, pirates launched another attack on a ship in the Gulf of Guinea, injuring two crew members. On Sunday, September 5, the reckless pirates again successfully struck an offshore supply vessel off the coast of Gabon. The International Maritime Bureau's Piracy Reporting Center (IMB PRC), which confirmed the attack, said another crew member was reported missing. According to the IMB PRC report cited by shipsandports, five people in a speedboat armed with guns approached, fired at the ship and boarded.
