BRVM: The market capitalization of shares up by 30 billion FCFA

While the bond market is sinking, the market capitalization of the shares market of the Regional Stock Exchange (BRVM) recorded an increase of 29.826 billion FCFA at the end of the trading session of Wednesday August 18, 2021.

This capitalization went from 5199.479 billion FCFA the day before to 5229.305 billion FCFA this Wednesday, August 18. In the space of two trading days, the capitalization of the shares increased by 79.975 billion FCFA. That of the bond market, for its part, stood at 6923.884 billion FCFA against 6936.360 billion FCFA the day before, a decrease of 12.476 billion FCFA. The total value of transactions amounted to 298.392 million FCFA against 1.746 billion FCFA the day before. The BRVM 10 index (the index of the 10 flagship stocks of the Stock Exchange) recorded a drop of 0.28% to 138.04 points against 138.43 points the day before. For its part, the BRVM Composite index (the general stock market index) rose by 0.57% to 173.76 points against 172.77 points the day before.

The Top 5 of the strongest price increases are respectively occupied by the shares Solibra Côte d'Ivoire (up 7.50% to 130,825 FCFA), Compagnie Ivoirienne d'Electricité (up 7.45% to 2,020 FCFA), Uniwax Côte d'Ivoire (up 7.42% at 1,665 FCFA), Bernabé Côte d'Ivoire (up 7.41% at 1,740 FCFA) and NEI CEDA Côte d'Ivoire (up 7.23% at 445 FCFA). Flop 5 of the biggest price declines is respectively occupied by the securities SETAO Côte d'Ivoire (minus 6.82% at 615 FCFA), Safca Côte d'Ivoire (minus 6.72% at 555 FCFA), Onatel Burkina Faso (minus 6.01% to 3,755 FCFA), Bolloré Côte d'Ivoire (minus 4% to 1,800 FCFA) and Société Générale Côte d'Ivoire (minus 1.71% to 8,600 FCFA).
