The balance sheet total of credit institutions operating in Togo stood at 3.457 billion FCFA in 2020, according to data from the WAEMU Banking Commission. That is an increase of 13.7% over one year, which represents about 415 billion FCFA.

This figure applies to all 13 banks and 3 financial institutions. In the ranking, Orabank remains a solid leader in the banking sector ahead of Ecobank, while Coris Bank enters the Top 5 and even ranks 3rd. The bank, which has been operating on the market since 2015, doubles its balance sheet total over one year, ahead of Banque Atlantique and the two national banks that are the Togolese Bank for Trade and Industry (BTCI) and the Togolese Union of Banks (UTB). As far as they are concerned, financial institutions close the year 2020 with a decrease in their total overall balance sheet.
