The Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, Gerd Müller from Germany met with President Faure Gnassingbé. The exchanges will allow the two countries to consolidate their partnership.

In addition to signing the Joint Declaration of Intent of the Partnership for Reform, the German GIZ cooperation has handed over a series of equipment to agricultural cooperatives worth FCFA 100 million according to Togo News, including motor pumps, electric shredders, electronic scales, tricycles, etc. This is part of the program. German for rural development and agriculture in Togo (ProDRA) with organic coffee and cocoa, vegetables, fruits and spices as targeted products. ProDRA must end in January 2023. The total investment amounts to €21.2 million, including €16.5 million from Germany and the balance from the European Union

The German minister has also launched work on the construction of a vocational training school at the Adétikopé Industrial Platform (PIA), inaugurated last June 6 by President Faure Gnassingbé but which is already functioning.
