The 2021 edition of the African Conference of the Econometric Society (AFES 2021) was launched on Thursday, at the National Higher School of Statistics and Applied Economics (ENSEA) in Abidjan.Themes, such as, “improving pre-secondary education in Africa: main challenges and solutions for the development of human capital”,” Educational policies for sustainable success” and “The performance of secondary education: an experimental case from Ghana” are on the agenda of this conference, which will end on 5 June next.

The aim of the African Econometric Society Conference is to promote across the continent the culture of economic analysis based on cutting-edge quantitative methods based on statistical and econometric theories. It offers a unique framework for bringing together researchers and decision-makers from across Africa and the West, while promoting strong synergy between African researchers and their overseas peers.

The Econometric Society is an international society for the advancement of economic theory in relation to statistics and mathematics. It is the world's largest forum of economists, including world-renowned academics in economics and related disciplines.
