Two and a half years after the start of construction work, the first Datacenter in Togo will be inaugurated this Friday, June 4 by the Head of State, Faure Gnassingbé.

The Ministry of Digital Economy and Digital Transformation informs that the work of the first Datacenter in Togo has been completed and that the work will be inaugurated this Friday. Called Carrier Hotel, this structure will be used to host sensitive data in a secure environment and will provide companies with space, energy, the cooling circuit, allowing them to store their servers, their network and storage equipment.
The Tier III+ reliability level infrastructure will be a neutral colocation and sensitive data hosting center. It was carried out over more than one hectare by CFAO Technologies and supervised by data center expert APL France. It will also offer the latest generation technological solutions.
On May 21, the World Bank approved additional financing of $11 million from the International Development Association (IDA) to complete its construction. It is financed to the tune of 12.2 billion FCFA by the World Bank within the framework of the West African regional program for the development of communications infrastructure (WARCIP).
