During his inaugural speech, the Head of State, Patrice Talon, announces the projects of his second five-year term. He was sworn in on Sunday, May 23, 2021. The Beninese president revealed the projects to be implemented during this second and final mandate. With his team, he will strengthen the gains made over the past five years but also implement job-creating projects.

One of the projects he intends to tackle is that of drinking water. Because, for Patrice Talon, the current state of mind will make it possible to meet the challenge of making drinking water available everywhere in Benin by the end of 2023.
“If we have been able to increase the overall service rate from 45 to 70% over the past five years, there is no doubt that, together, we will be able to achieve this objective,” reassures the Head of State. It also announces energy autonomy, infrastructure through the strengthening of the road network, and the social and education system through the construction of a hundred technical high schools and vocational schools of reference, including more than half by the end of 2023.
