Ecobank Capital has just broken a new record which reflects the robustness of the SGI and the capital confidence of investors. Leader in the asset custody segment, the company is forced to roll up its sleeves as the progress of Atlantique Finance is confirmed. Ecobank Capital, the pan-African group's investment bank, passed the bar of 1000 billion FCFA of assets in custody, thus becoming the first and only SGI to cross this threshold on the BRVM.
This record set at 1074 billion FCFA, however, masks a loss of ground while its market share fell to 11.76% against just over 13% between 2018 and 2019. In addition, the subsidiary of the Atlantic Business International Group (ABI) increased its market share by more than 2 percentage points to 10.18%, the best rise in the last three years.
