The Public Treasury of Mali raised this May 5, 2021 an amount of 27.500 billion FCFA on the financial market of the West African Monetary Union (WAMU) at the end of its issue of bond assimilable du treasury (BAT) with a maturity of 364 days. For the second quarter of 2021, the Malian government authorities' intentions to issue public securities amount to 180 billion FCFA against 235 billion FCFA for the first quarter of 2021. Out of a total amount auctioned of 25 billion FCFA, overall bids from investors stand at CFAF 55.640 billion, i.e. a coverage rate of 222.56% of the amount auctioned. As for the weighted average rate, it stood at 4.01% and the marginal rate at 4.05%. The capital of the securities issued will be redeemable on the first business day following the maturity date set at May 4, 2022.
