The results as of December 31, 2020 of the BOA Group listed on the Regional Stock Exchange (Brvm) were presented on Tuesday during a webinar, in which several senior executives and the country directors of the various subsidiaries took part. According to the results for the 2020 financial year, carried out in a context marked by the Covid-19 health crisis, the six listed banks of the Bank Of Africa (BOA) Group are posting resilient results. In this uncertain and unprecedented context, the managers of the banking group have adopted a discretionary and prudent approach in the granting of loans with support for existing customers (cash loans). They also granted, according to well-studied strategies, financing for sectors not affected by the Covid-19 crisis and an investment of excess liquidity in Treasury bonds.
Today, we are seeing a higher level of restructuring due to Covid-19 in banks established in the English-speaking area, while in the UEMOA space, "structured Covid-19 loans oscillate between 0.3% and 2.2% of outstandings".
