Experts from the oil sector met on April 15 in Pointe-Noire under the leadership of the Minister of Hydrocarbons, Jean-Marc Thystere Tchicaya, accompanied by the heads of oil companies based in Congo to set hydrocarbon prices.

The quarterly averages of the fixed prices of hydrocarbons produced in Congo, adopted during the price meeting of the first quarter of 2021, in dollars per barrel, are as follows: Djéno Mélange: 61.08; Nkossa Blend: 60.49; Yombo: 66.64; Nkossa Butane: 48.91; Nkossa Propane 42,42.
The average price differentials of Congolese crudes in dollars per barrel are as follows: Djéno Mélange: -0.3 compared to dated Brent; Nkossa Blend: -0.4 compared to dated Brent; Yombo: +5.7 compared to dated Brent; Nkossa Butane: +0.2 compared to North West Europe butane; Nkossa Propane: +4.7 compared to Propane MONT BELVIEU.
For the Minister of Hydrocarbons, oil companies have just crossed the first quarter of 2021, with an upward trend in oil prices, despite fluctuations due to the global evolution of the covid-19 pandemic. The price of a barrel of oil has risen since the beginning of 2021 from 50 to about 65 dollars at the end of March with a peak close to 70 dollars, an increase of nearly 35%.
