The Department of Financial Control made its traditional solemn return, this Wednesday, April 7, 2021 in Abidjan, around the theme “2020 budget management review and 2021 perspective, as part of the operationalization of budgetary reform”.

It shows that 96.7% of the strategic plan of the Directorate of Financial Control has been completed, with actions ranging from the coverage of the national territory in terms of control, the process of modernizing and digitizing the administration, to budgetary reform.
“This meeting is in accordance with an obligation of accountability, transparency and necessary prior planning, to improve our actions and improve our works”, maintains N'da Ange, Director of Financial Control.
He added that “helping the State ensure transparency in budget management, protect it against various forms of losses, assist managers and improve their efficiency is exhilarating and rewarding. For 2021, the nation expects the same level of commitment from you (the financial controllers).”
For the Ministry of Budget and State Portfolio, this solemn return is of interest. With the budgetary reform, financial control is now at the heart of internal control and performance. This performance must also be based on good governance and the fight against corruption.
“In the new government, a ministerial department has been dedicated to good governance, capacity building and the fight against corruption. It is the materialization of a vision and a political will. The fight against corruption will be extended. And entrusting it to an important magistrate in the system is an indicator,” says Soilio Grambouté, Chief of Staff and representing the Minister of Budget and State Portfolio.
For the previous year, all the structures receiving State budgetary resources are also at review time and are preparing to each present an annual performance report before the Court of Auditors and the National Assembly to assess the level of achievement of the objectives to be assigned to them at the beginning of the year
