The Ivorian Cable Company (Sicable CI, code CABC), listed on the BRVM, recorded an increase in profits of 528.706 million FCFA (793.059 euros) at the end of the 2020 financial year compared to the previous year. Sicable CI (CABC) shares, down -3.48% in the trading session of March 15, are on an annual upward trend

of 38%.

The profit of Sicable CI, a member of the Prysmian Group, the world leader in electrical cables, rose sharply by 528.706 million FCFA and stood at 1.166 billion FCFA against 637.951 million FCFA as of December 31, 2019, an increase of 82.87%.

According to company managers, the company's turnover was 18.898 billion FCFA compared to 15.200 billion FCFA in 2019, up 24%.

With regard to charges, purchases of related materials and supplies increased by 751 million FCFA, to 6.393 billion FCFA compared to 5.642 billion FCFA in 2019.

As

for other purchases, there was an increase from 20.584 million FCFA to 699.992 million FCFA. Added value increased sharply by 57.12%, from 2.118 billion FCFA in 2019 to 3.328 billion FCFA a year later. While personnel expenses stood at 1.134 billion FCFA compared to 1.061 billion FCFA on December 31, 2019 (+6.88%), this company “will continue to develop its project business in Côte d'Ivoire and consolidate its position in the energy infrastructure sector”, estimate the managers of Sicable in terms of prospects for the 2021 financial

year.
