The dollar rose by 0.5%, an annual record against the euro, which stands at 1.1850. And currency traders expect a very dovish communication from the ECB on Thursday, Christine Lagarde should be keen to allay fears of repenting the yield curve in Europe. The Euro fell further by -0.5% against the Dollar, which set a new annual record at 1.1850. The European currency continues to support 1.193/E, which went back to mid-August and early September. The Dollar obviously continues to benefit from the sharp increase in its remuneration (+6Pts to 1.612%), both in absolute and relative terms against the Euro, as well as against the Yen or the Swiss Franc (it also gains 0.5% at 108.9/JPY and 93.5 CHF respectively). The market will take note of the latest eurozone GDP figures for the fourth quarter and then data on inflation in the United States.
