Liquid Telecommunications Financing Plc announces this Tuesday, February 22, the start of a bond and term loan financing program totaling 820 million USD. This line is intended to support growth and refinance the debt of its parent company, Liquid Telecommunications Holdings Limited. The transaction launched by Liquid Telecom consists of USD 600 million of senior secured notes and USD 220 million of secured term loans denominated in South African rand. The Emerging Africa Infrastructure Fund (EAIF) has pledged to buy up to $50 million worth of bonds. Other underwriters, namely the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and DEG-Deutsche Investitions-und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH (DEG) have committed to placing purchase orders up to a total of USD 178 million under the new ticket offer. It should be noted that Liquid Telecommunications Holdings Limited received in connection with this transaction the expected rating of “B+ (EXP)” / RR4 from the rating agency Fitch Ratings Inc.
